I quit my job last Monday.
I’ve been working there for just over five years, in a number of different roles. Now a new opportunity has presented itself, and I took it. I’ll be doing web development using a variety of technologies, specifically open source stuff like PHP.
I’m finishing up my last week at Prometric, tying up some loose ends. I don’t want to leave my coworkers in a lurch with me leaving and all, so I’m trying to make things a bit easier for them.
Now that my job search is over, I can get back to updating this site. I have a few things to talk about, like my birthday, my thoughts on March of the Penguins, and my favorite games of all time. I saw Nad typing an entry earlier today, so she should have something new soon too.

We went to our local theater to watch Revenge of the Sith. I think we both agree that is was easily the best of the new trilogy. In fact, I believe that Episode III made the previous two better by association. Loose ends were tied up while inconsistancies were either explained or dealt with. I enjoyed the movie very much.
I’ve ordered the Star Wars movies, from worst to best, in the chronological order of the movies. In other words, Episode I is the worst, while Episode VI is the best. I should state that I enjoyed all six movies, even with the problems the first two movies had (out-of-place drag races, bad acting, goofy-ass secondary characters).
Read my brother-in-law Kevin’s review of the movie. I generally agree with his assessment of the movie. The weakest aspect of the story was Anakin’s fall from the Light Side. The final catalyst that pushes him over was incredibly weak, and detracted immensely from the story.
Nad spent Saturday afternoon getting shot at by her fellow soldiers. Little balls of paint were fired at high speed from pump-action markers. Nad’s a small woman, so she is adept at not getting shot. However, one of her dickhead opponents felt the need to fire at her at point-blank range. In her own words, “he was so close he could have pistol-whipped me.”
The paintball struck her on her left wing. It didn’t look too bad while she was at the field, but the bruise got real ugly, real fast. Take a look at the pics below to see the difference.
