Archive for December, 2008

I look forward to January because The Container Store has their annual 30% off elfa shelving sale. Well, they  started their sale early this year! Unfortunately, the nearest store is over an hour away in Denver. It was worth the drive because now our home office looks like this:

Computer area          Storage area

It was a cluttered mess before and thankfully I cannot find pictures of our former space. As I erase that from my memory, I am thinking of all the ways to use our new found space. If you have a Container Store in your area, you should definitely check out what they have to offer.

  • Third Time’s The Charm

As I sit here, eating lunch alone (again), I am trying to post this entry to the site. First two failed, likely due to the iPhone’s need to be reset everytime I install an app; a step I routinely skip, since I think it is stupid.

Not anymore, since the WordPress app was flat-out broken after I installed it. I avoid resetting because of how long it takes for the iPhone to restart and find the network.

Anyhow, I added a picture of the break room from where I am sitting.

  • Return of the Tree

Our sad little Christmas tree makes its seventh annual visit to our home.

Given the way things are financially, especially with me changing jobs and going for longer than usual without a paycheck, there aren’t many presents under the tree. However, I am extremely thankful that I can put anything there at all. I know there are plenty of people who can’t say the same.

IMG_5843 (1024x768) Captain America tirelessly guards the gifts.

Merry Christmas everyone, and happy holidays. Thank you for reading my ramblings all year and leaving your comments. I appreciate my long-time readers, and I’m happy to see some new names appear.
