Shortly after arriving in our hotel room, we set up a little office. Nadia has her desktop, complete with printer and 19″ monitor, on one side. Since I chose to have the movers take my desktops and monitors, I am using my notebook with Nadia’s extra 17″ monitor on the other side.

My friend and neighbor John threw a going away LAN party for me. Despite the extremely low turnout (only four people showed), we still enjoyed ourselves. The evening was dominated by Halo 3, but I didn’t take any video of that part since I played in every one of those games. When we switched to Call of Duty 4, I had the chance to shoot the video above.

I’m learning that I really enjoy taking home movies and editing them, but Windows Movie Maker is a very limited application and my Powershot isn’t a very good video camera (it’s excellent for still shots though). I may need to invest in better equipment, both hardware and software.

This weekend, I went to Dallas to see my new Godson Jaden. He was born on 1 Apr 08 at 5:30 pm to TJ and Khalilah. I was so happy when I was informed that they wanted me to be his Godmother. 

When he gets fussy, he turns bright red. The sound of your heartbeat soothes him and when he is hungry, he will definitely let you know. When Will and I get settled in Colorado, I will go back to Dallas to see him again.
