You’ve Got To Be Kidding Me

Another Xbox came back in place of Nad’s three weeks after she sent it. It was manufactured on 07/31/07. Its newness didn’t do anything to prevent it from being a pile of crap.
Freeze after freeze after freeze at random times. Sometimes when it first started. Sometimes when selecting the language, sometimes when signing in. The DVD drive makes a nasty little sound when it opens, and it does so in a jerky fashion.
Nad called them back, and they are sending another coffin. I checked their support site - its knowledge base doesn’t even have the word “freeze” in it! Actually, as far as I can tell, their search routine is broken because common phrases like “restart console” and common words like “Xbox” don’t return any results.
Needless to say, we are less than pleased with this turn of events.

I am less than pleased with this and actually I am worried that our current box (Will’s newly repaired box) is just waiting to take a crap on us, too. I guess that would fuel the need to purchase an Elite…
After all this, you would think that one would defect to the competition…not even a chance in hell. I would play with rocks before I give Sony ANY money, so I am sticking it out with Microsoft for the time being.
Wow… is there any wonder why I am waiting get an XBOX? I will spend my money when the “bugs” are worked out of it. I must say, you all’s Microsoft loyalty is admirable… I would have jump ship to that other game system… (I dare not post their name for fear of the Diaz’s ire) lol. Hope it works out for you two…
Damn. to tell you the truth, I haven’t played my 360 since the last time Oblivion crashed on me. I threw the disk across the living room in hopes that it would hit the wall and explode. I’ve since rented the same game for my PS3 and found that I haven’t had any problems even while it sits in the T.V. stand. I know you guys would never switch to Sony, but I’ve been a loyal fan for a while, so… I think I’m going to sell my 360 and everything I have for it to a guy I work with. I really want to get Mass effect, but I’ll just have to do without.
