I just finished writing a lengthy post about all the apps that I use with my phone. I linked to several sites, and provided some insight on how each one worked.
So, what did Wordpress do when I hit ‘Publish’? It lost my work, of course. It didn’t keep a draft of it (I did have a draft saved, as I started writing this last week). It also is no where to be found in the database.
That’s not to mention the numerous errors I am now encountering in the admin screen, which (thankfully) won’t affect any users.
This means that I will either be upgrading Wordpress soon, or switching to a different blogging platform. I’m leaning toward the latter, as Wordpress has pissed me off too many times in recent memory. My posts will likely slow to a crawl until that happens.

Wow that sucks…are you running the latest and greatest WP? I occasionally use Windows Live Writer (http://writer.live.com/) to publish to my blog (also WP). Works great; auto saves, can be used off-line, spell check, etc… check it out. I’m sure you’ll like it.
Hey…just took a look at your version (meta info) and you’re running WordPress 2.0.1. That’s old dude! The latest is 2.2.1. Get ‘er updated and use Windows Live Writer. Best of luck!
Captain Betty just save my @$s also on that. Great save, thanks. I always hate, especially on long Ariticles, losing my work. I some times do it word them paste over but it never comes out right.
I really need to upgrade, but to be perfectly honest I am terrified of upgrading. I know, it is silly, but I need to do it. I was going to this weekend, but a surprise visit from my family prevented me from doing that.
Once I get this upgraded, I’ll try out Live Writer. It looks really nice.
This is my first post
