The most frustrating part about this is that when it works, it is so damn cool. Telling my PC what to do with touching anything is really awesome. So when it starts screwing up, it is very disappointing.

Generally, commands work very well. Starting programs, moving the mouse around, and navigating websites work well enough and is almost enjoyable. I was able to log into the site and navigate Wordpress' backend to approve your comments.

The dictation, especially when trying to say the name of a website, is hit-or-miss. I can't even get to my own website without it thinking I want to go to Williams and Sonoma's site.

I will remain optimistic and hope that it will get better as I work with it.

There is something very cool about blogging via speech recognition. Very meta.

Seems like we've been waiting for SR for a long time.

They've been trying this for years. I remember getting a copy of IBM's Naturally Speaking. You had to train that sucker for hours to get it to recognize your voice. It sounds as if they haven't made much progress.
