Wii-servation!

I was able to reserve Nintendo’s next console, the Wii, on Friday. I am number 14 out of 18…
I have seen all the cool things that ‘nunchuck‘ will do, but I am not fully buying into it. My need for traditional gaming, aka controller, made me also reserve a classic controller which the Wii-mote will slip into.
I am looking forward to getting this system. Since it is backwards compatible, we have an entire library to utilize with it. I just hope that our GameCube reservation woes are not repeated.

This seems interesting. Question? Its not just for gaming, is it?
It is primarily for gaming, but it still does not play DVD’s. Strangely enough, it will be web capable via the Opera browser that will be included.
Not having DVD playback is not a complaint, just something that I thought would be included by now. I will give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt because their focus for this system is strickly gaming, not being the ‘end-all-be-all’ console…it is something that few would accept and respect.
