We found ourselves in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri last weekend. My brother Charlie Macc became a married man!
The ceremony was beautiful, short, and non-denominational. A sword team was there, with swords presented in front of the chapel for them and the rest of the bridal party to pass under. I’ll get pictures up here as soon as Nad develops them (we didn’t have our digital camera on hand).
The reception was held at a nearby club named Rock’n. I set things off with the shortest best man speech ever given in the history of speeches. It went something like this:
It wasn’t until I walked through that door that I realized that I had to give a speech. I’m not good at these, so I will wish my brother and my new sister-in-law all the luck and happiness in the world.
Yeah, pretty lame. My brother was happy with it though - it was short and to the point.
Classic moment: My brother wore his street clothes to the chapel, including white socks. He did not have a pair of black socks to wear with his tuxedo. As soon as he announced this fact to us, my father pulled the second pair of black socks we was wearing (his feet were cold) and handed them over!
The title eludes to the fact that I have two new sisters, and that is a fact. My other brother Gemini is also a married man. He got married shortly before New Year’s Eve. I have not yet met her or spoken to her, but I hope to change that soon. They just moved into their first house last week!
