Today is the day that my brother Charlie Macc heads over to Iraq for an 18 month tour outside of Baghdad. While my parents, brother and I are worried about him, he isn’t sweating it at all. He just has to “watch out for the occassional grenade or rocket flying into the camp”, as he told me in our last conversation. He’s a Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (I forget the MOS number), so while he won’t be fighting like the infantry does, he is responsible for recovering vehicles that are left behind by other soldiers.
Next time any of you guys pray for something, I’d appreciate it if you mentioned him in it. I’d like to see my little brother come back to the States safely.
